Being on a 7 week CPAP trial period was a trial at times, but the therapist made it bearable and even pleasant. The therapist provided impressive client service and support. After several changes with the mask, until one suited me best, the CPAP trial was better but not necessarily easier – it is a mask & machine of course! The therapist was also very accommodating with my appointment times, providing alternative hours and places, which was an absolute destressor.

Since this trial was to figure out a possible solution to my sleeping difficulties, I was determined to stay on track – it was my health no less, and I kept on track. The therapist never made it feel like a business but rather she honestly wished for me an improvement in my sleep and health, so I never ever felt pressured to purchase the CPAP after the trial was over.

Nonetheless, I did end up purchasing a CPAP machine and mask, but not for my sleeping difficulties, but for other health improvements and benefits I received from being on it – go figure! Hope you let the trial work out for you – it is your health no less!

After being diagnosed with OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) at UBC Sleep Disorders Clinic I was referred to IRS by them for CPAP trial and therapy.

My experience with both the IRS staff and the CPAP itself has been nothing less than great. The people who worked with me in the 6 week trial period were very professional and personable with me and helped me in the learning curve of using the CPAP device to alleviate my Sleep Disorder.

The results have been very positive for me and I continue to have access to the staff for any questions that may arise as I adapt to this therapy.

I am very grateful to IRS for everything they have done for me as well as their ongoing support with my CPAP usage. The machine I purchased from them works like a charm.

I would give IRS my highest recommendation for anyone with Sleep Apnea needing treatment and support.

I first met the IRS team in September 2010. After spending a night at the UBC sleep lab, I knew that I was diagnosed with moderate to severe sleep apnea. I was only scarcely aware of what that meant, and what changes it would signal in my life.

When I received a diagnosis of sleep apnea, I greeted the news with a mixture of trepidation and excitement. The respiratory therapist very quickly put me at ease and helped me to understand exactly what sleep apnea is and the negative impacts it can have on my life.

She showed me the various CPAP machines and sized up my nose, head, etc for proper fit.

It was a change to get used to the “snore machine” but the benefits were immediate, I stopped snoring. Perhaps even more importantly, after a few weeks to adjust to the fit of the machine, I awoke feeling rested and full of energy. I can still feel a difference in my energy levels if I wear the CPAP all 8 hours or if I remove it (unconsciously – this still happens) during the night.

The regular support through weekly appointments with the therapist helped to keep me focused, on track and committed to making CPAP work for me.

Adjusting to wearing a CPAP was a months-long process for me, and I occasionally still resist wearing it. But it is clear to me that the benefits to my health, my energy and my general well-being absolutely justify the cost and the adjustment period required to learn to sleep with the CPAP.

My therapist was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. This therapy has vastly improved my energy levels, eliminates snoring and enhanced my quality of life.

This has been great for me and my family. It is a 100% improvement in my life. My case was very severe. Besides all the medical and clinical implications, I was tired and falling sleep all the time. But thanks to the excellent service and attention of my therapist and the IRS team at the Surrey office, I was able to have a dramatic and positive change in my life.

They reacted very fast with all the process and approvals, and provided me with the right solution and the right CPAP, based on a much accrued custom analysis of my particular condition. I think there are many people with this problem that should go to IRS and have the opportunity to get back a high quality life. Again, thanks a lot to my therapist and the IRS team.

The service and staff of Cranbrook IRS have been excellent. I was able to keep working on light duty because of the oxygen and help that IRS provided. The service has been excellent.
